It’s Almost Here!

It’s all cooking, all the time over here at Carole Knits. This week we’ve made Ginger Cookies, Peanut Butter Balls, Fudge, Cranberry Pistachio Bark, Spritz, and Polish Teacakes aka Thumbprint Cookies.

Here we have the Ginger Cookies. Yummm.

And here we have Dale and Hannah rolling 6 pounds worth of Swedish Meatballs. Even more yummmmm.

Tomorrow night, Christmas Eve, will find us gathered with family and friends at our house. We will have some traditional Swedish foods, like the meatballs and sill and wasa crackers, plus other Christmas-type goodies. It’s low key and relaxing and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Sounds perfect to me. Enjoy yourself – Merry Christmas. BTW – you guessed right ;-) I’ll be in touch after holidays to discuss your prize.

mmmm…where do you live, again? ;o)

Just kidding! We have our own tradition here – chinese takeout and the last frantic wrapping of gifts. The pressure is mostly off this year – Dobby is at her worthless father’s (oops, did I say that?)

Well, um… I made toast this morning. That’s about as much culinary adventure as I’ve been able to get up to.

Wow, I am really impressed! I have chicken mole cooking in the crockpot, to go with rice, deluxe nachos and green salad for a welcome-home dinner tonight, as most of my guests will be arriving (mainly the four adult-like kiddos), and then the turkey dinner will be tomorrow… including two pumpkin pies I still need to make tonight. I cheated and bought an apple and a pecan though. Merry Christmas.
