There’s No Crying on Vacation

The vacation at home is proving to be quite pleasant. Monday, being Memorial Day, included friends, Polynesian cocktails on the deck, grilled chicken and potato salad. Tuesday there was knitting and spinning and reading. Wednesday was all about shopping and a haircut. I managed to fit in some knitting and spinning, too. Today I’m hoping to dye some yarn. No doubt there will also be knitting and spinning. There was something else, too . . . thinking . . . remembering . . .

Oh yeah. We went to a Brockton Rox game. I drank beer, ate hot dogs, watched baseball, and knit. Good times.

Going to a ball game is a sure sign of summer and probably greatly enhanced that vacation feeling- well, along with the beer and hot dog!

Sounds like a fantabulous time! I’ve been itching to get the dye pot out, but can’t seem to schedule time in the kitchen between meals and DH’s cheese making… He’ll soon be done with that though as it’ll get too hot.

I love the idea of an at-home vacation that is all fun and no yard work, painting, repairs, etc. Enjoy!

Nothing like a baseball game on a nice warm night. It sounds like you’re having a great vacation (and I’m not the least bit envious, no I’m not…)!

Minor league ball parks are where it’s at! I live by the Delmarva Shorebirds stadium, and it’s a great alternative to hiking it to Camden Yards. Enjoy the rest of your vacation!

Good for you, vacation at home and really doing it! I was away w/ mom, fun, but not entirely relaxing. But the very best part? (aside from being w/ mom…) was that I didn’t have to THINK about meals!
