Eye Candy Friday

Don’t be fooled by these pansies. It is indeed November in New England. Happy weekend, everyone!

  1. Beautiful. I’ve got a few still blooming in my front yard too. In fact, one year I had a plant that made it through the winter. 🙂

  2. You still have blooms?? Lucky you! The only color I’ve got left outside are my trees. The Japanese maple is intense, like a burning bush, but the Norway maple only turned a lackluster yellow this year, not it’s usual glorious peachy red orange.

  3. Pansies are not only colorful but pretty hardy. They also create a purple runny nose if crammed up there by a 2 year old or so my mother told me 🙂

  4. Oh wow, I’ve always wanted to go to New England! Deleware to be exact. 😀 I guess maybe because the wolves and bears of “Da Great North Ya you betcha!” get a little overwhelming. My friend hit a 300 pounder the other night and bought it from the DNR for $20. 😀 Hmmm…maybe Road Island.

  5. Oh! My FAVORITE!!! My mum bought me a late-season pot of pansies for my birthday — they’re a little nipped now, but so fun and exuberant while they lasted.

    Happy Weekend, Carole!

  6. I always said that if I ever had a gardening show, I’d call it Beyond Pansies and Petunias, not that I don’t like them, but because that’s ALL anyone plants down here! That and crepe myrtles!

    Happy Friday!

  7. New England November… ahh.. you make me homesick. Reminds me of hot cocoa, crisp Macoun apples, crackling fires and lots of bundling up when we went outside.

  8. Aaaaahhh, flowers. Since it’s snowing here it’s nice to see a reminder that there is beauty somewhere in the world and all is not a barren frozen wasteland…

btw, I totally stole your blogoversary button! ;op
