Wednesday’s Blog

You get two pictures today because I won’t be able to post tomorrow.

The first is, of course, the beach. We did indeed go back yesterday. It was warm and sunny; a perfect beach day, truly.

The second is of a portion of last night’s dinner. Fresh peas. The shelling goes much faster when you are drinking tequila on the rocks.

I’ll be back on Friday!

  1. We can never have too many beach pictures imho. Fresh peas, yum! I expect to pick the first English peas from the garden today. I can’t wait!

  2. I can imagine several such tasks that would go lot’s faster with Tequila on the rocks alonside… **grin**

  3. I want to go to the beach. Now. Right this very moment.

(Thanks for the tequila/peas tip. I’ll have to remember this one!)

  4. That tequila looks so fresh! As do the peas, of course. 🙂 I can never find fresh peas around here. It’s California, fer Pete’s sake! We’re supposed to have all sorts of produce! :sigh: I’m jealous. I love peas. 🙂

  5. It’s too late in the season for Romi to get pea pods here. She needs to think early spring… and, yes, I know how wrong that is.

    Yum!

  6. Oh, the beach, one of my favorite places! How fortunate to be so close that you can go there when you like. I’m envious!

  7. tequila on the rocks? mmmmm – have never tried that.. maybe I oughta drive over for a visit (heh heh – now wouldn’t that be fun!)
I just love the ocean – as I know you do too. I’m so glad that you are getting to enjoy it on your vacation.
have a wonderful day tomorrow 🙂

  8. Mmmm… tequila. A woman after my own heart. I even find that house cleaning is more fun with a little tequila. 😉

  9. I LOVE stay at home vacations! Far less stress! Actually, this year, we’ve rented a house on a nearby pond and two sisters in law and their families (one with a kid, one without) are coming up… looking forward to it! Hmmmm… will have to try the tequila on the rocks, I’m worried though, because it has always gone down like water for me (unlike whiskey, which is firey). But it won’t help me collect peas, the whole garden set up is wicked awkward for pea picking!
