Where is Old Silver Beach? It sounds so familiar and the photo a lot like looks like Massachusetts to me. Is it in Plymouth, MA? (And somewhere I saw that you mentioned Plymouth.) I used to live in Marshfield, MA and then in Sagamore Beach, MA (waaay south Plymouth County! almost to the Cape Cod Canal bridge).

I used to walk to Scusset Beach when I lived in Sagamore. I miss it like crazy. Came home with my pockets full of rocks--round stones, actually (but I liked the alliteration of "pockets full of rocks"!).

Your blog is wonderful! I want to start knitting again but don't know where to start . . . !

Really serene, I especially like the photo where the sun is over to the left. It's good to hear about the cooler weather, we have had a little cool weather, but it will be gone in a day or two with temps going back up into the 80's. Cool weather inspires knitting even more and especially encouraging when we knit larger projects that can drape over us adding extra warmth. I look forward to your future posts.

I thought I recognized that beach! I grew up going to New Silver Beach, just around the point. And I worked at the Sea Crest Hotel every summer. It is a beautiful part of the world. (And yes, I enjoyed your post yesterday. I'm so relieved the tides are changing around here.) Pun intended.

So lovely. The beach has always been my refuge. My dad was a scuba diver, and we spent many weekends at or on the ocean. I'm now living in landlocked Idaho, and I miss my ocean. Thanks for the view.

Gorgeous pictures. In CA, I love the beach most in fall and winter. Summer is OK - but mostly too hot, crowded and bright. I guess I'm not a sand and surf girl, but I am a nature girl and I feel so close to it when the winter surf loudly crashes on an almost-deserted beach with banks of storm clouds on the horizon.

We moved to Chapel Hill/Durham NC 12 years ago because
our six children are now grown and my husband couldn't
stand the cold anymore. However, I miss the Cape soooo
much that I take a vacation up there every September and
as much as I love it here, my heart belongs to the NE and
Cape Cod. Your pictures bring me joy as I love, love, love
the beach and sound of the ocean. Thanks.
