Carole, I’ve read your blog pretty regularly, but I hardly ever post a comment, but I have to tell you how much I enjoyed your post about Obama. I could have written most of that post myself; it’s always nice to realize that you’re not alone. We live in the “oil country” of Central California, so you can bet my husband and I usually feel very alone with our political beliefs. Yesterday, these nice, older neighbors took us out to lunch, and the husband told us that “if Obama doesn’t put his hand on the Bible when he’s sworn in, I’m going to leave this country..he a Muslim you know.” Then his wife said that she’d heard Obama’s planning to change the flag. We just told them that we didn’t think that was true. No use arguing…no use arguing…and besides, they take care of our dogs for free. I don’t want to annoy them:)

We are lucky to still have many trees at full leaf, though my aspens have lost ALL of theirs already. I sure do envy you your camera.

Glorious shade of red, I love your eye candy fridays. I would love to find a yarn that shared this same vibrancy. Trees give us so much in return for so little, they make life richer.
