Thank you! I grew up in the Midwest, and although bayberry was part of Christmas lore, I had never seen it.
So fragrant? I’ve never seen one and I’d love to smell it, too.

I love the scent of bayberry, but have never seen it in nature. They look like weird blueberries, thanks for the photo! Do you have one that shows the entire plant? To satisfy the naturalists among your avid readers.

that’s my first time ever seeing bayberry too, oddly enough. there’s all kinds of bayberry smelling things around. the plant, not so much.
