Post Christmas Post

Christmas was great. We had a small gathering at our home on Christmas Eve and then spent most of Christmas day hanging around in our comfy clothes. We did head to Dale’s brother’s for a late afternoon gathering and that gave us the chance to see the rest of the family. It was all just right!

The big gift at our house was a Wii and we’ve all been having lots of fun with it. Mario Kart is very addicting and Dale, Hannah and I have had some 3 way races that have left us in tears we were laughing so hard. We also have Guitar Hero. Oh wait, I have a picture of that one.

Cute, isn’t he? But let me just say, I now know why he’s the singer in his band.

    Sounds like a perfect holiday!

Go carefully if you got Wii Fit – I’ve heard lots of stories about people injuring themselves getting too gungho too fast with that.

    ;) What fun!!

I think we’re the only people I know who didn’t get a Wii for the holidays…

    xo

    Hee!

I tried playing Mario Cart on the display system at Best Buy. It all ended with my older kids wondering how on earth I ever managed to get a driver’s license.

I hope the fun continues well into the New Year!

Isn’t the Wii a ton of fun? The boy gave his dad Mario Kart for Christmas so now he can join the rest of us playing together online. :)

Everyone I know received a Wii… but, like Nora, we didn’t. It looks like fun!

It sounds like a great holiday! Dale looks so serious playing Guitar Hero. I hope you beat him at that one.

So, Dale is more of the Steve Tyler variety??? ;-)

You should get a big print of Dale playing guitar hero, and present it to his band…or, perhaps you should hold that in reserve as a bargaining chip. It should be worth something at the yarn store, eh?

Sounds like a good holiday. Enjoy the Wii!

No Nora – you aren’t the only one without a Wi. We didn’t get one either. We hardly use the XBox we have!

Looks like you guys had a fun holiday Carole! Guitar Hero is apparently addicting – we got it for our daughter to use on her Nintendo DS and she is having a blast.

Yup, we have had both for a while. Rock Band 2 was added to the menagerie at Christmas. The kids have been playing it non-stop! It’s become the friend magnet for the 16 yo.

Oh and the photo of Dale is priceless!

Is it weird that I want a Wii even though both sons have left home? I have no excuse. I just want it. btw, hold tightly to Dale — I want to steal him!

I’m so glad it was a lovely holiday for your family, Carole. Isn’t it nice to know that the rock star of the family has his limitations? ;^)

Also no Wii in our household, although I was REALLY tempted to get the hubby one for Christmas. I think I’ll just get him the games and let him go play at our son’s! Nice photo of your “guitar hero”.

Sounds like fun! We haven’t sprung yet for the Wii. No WAY on guitar hero.

  23. Beth Said,

Fun, fun, fun! Playing the Guitar Hero guitar is much different than playing a real one. Both are lots of fun, though!

We have that exact same guitar! Get Raving Rabbids! It’s hilarious!

Oh so glad to hear how much fun you’re having with yur Wii. It’s n our list of things to get, but not just yet.

Tell Dale to not fret. I failed miserably when I tried Guitar Hero…twice. I found that strumming on the beat doesn’t work. You have to coordinate with the screen timing. Frustrating for a former dancer.

oh the wii is so fun! i have yet to play the new guitar hero though. glad you guys had fun!

Fun! We both wanted the wii fit but decided to wait a while before we get it. We bought oak stair treads instead. haha
