Ten On Tuesday

The theme for Ten on Tuesday this week is 10 Things That Turn You Off About People.  Hunh.  Not a particularly nice theme but I’ll give it a shot.

1. Bad breath.  So gross.

2. Not respecting personal space.  You all know the ones who just get tooclose, right?

3. Laziness.  Work comes first – then play.

4. Rudeness.  Please and thank you matter in my world.

5. Telling stupid jokes.  Puh-lease.

6. Borrowing things and not returning them.  Money, cars, my stuff.  You borrow it, you bring it back when you say you will.

7. A big ego.

8. Bad grammar or mispelled words in a document.  There’s just no excuse for this anymore.

9. Lying.  I can always tell.

10. Self-righteousness.  Climb on down off that high horse before you fall!

Okay, I did it.  But now I feel all cranky.  I hope next week’s theme is a happy one again!

Thinking about the worst in people does put one in a bad mood.

LOL!! Yeah, I can see how this topic would do that.

Yeah, that left a sour taste. How’s this: 10 Things I Enjoy about CaroleKnits.
knitting talent * lovely photos * a peek at spinning * color * great recipes * sense of humor and goodwill * encouragement to try new things * seeing a part of the country I’d like to visit * feeling like I’ve had a cup of coffee with a kindred spirit * a source of creative inspiration.

Yeah, I had the same hesitation! The thing is, I agree with all of yours, yet my list is different – there certainly are many ways to turn people off!!

It certainly isn’t a very positive thing to ponder. I do agree with most of your list 100%.

good list. I agree. And I would add people who don’t follow through on what they say they are going to do – oh yeah.. and dishonesty is such a big one…

Hope you are feeling Happy by now – I read you first every day because you are always so happy and positive. You make my day happy.
What you say bothers you about others I also agree with and could add a few more – oops, negative. Anyway, there is no excuse for any of it.
    Have a Happy Day!

I know what you mean. I especially hate it when someone says or writes, for example, “she gave the yarn to John and I.” Hardly anyone in the English speaking world knows the difference between a subject and an object anymore.

Good list! I got a little cranky after writing mine as well; it’s hard not to.

#3 is my personal pet peeve. Makes me want to get a stick after someone. Especially if I am PAYING them to actually do something (like make a sandwich, for cryin’ out loud).

Your thoughts and mine match pretty well – too bad there isn’t spell check on blog comments though.

Now that you’re all cranky, you can do some spinning for Team CrankyPants. ;^)
