Fannie Socks

Now don’t fall over or anything but I’m about to post about knitting for two days in a row.  Shocking, I know.

These are my Fannie Socks, knit while on vacation on Cape Cod, with Farmhouse Yarns Fannie’s Fingering Weight.

They are, of course, my usual plain stockinette with a picot edge and a slip stitch heel, type socks.

I think they are particularly yummy, and I’m blaming it on the yarn.  Truly yummy stuff.

But it’s hot around here and I’m not putting them on.  Really, I’m not.

Oh, alright.  If you insist.

  1. So pretty! The thought of wearing socks now is just ick!!!! You have made that pattern my favorite “no think” sock knitting. I always have a pair in progress. I took my latest to the Pawsox game last night. It’s so nice to knit and not have to think about it. Thank you for the idea.

  2. You really are inspiring me to go and finish up the mate to some single socks that I have.
Yes, the last hurrah of summer is happening here too. up to 90 today (and 44 right now)

  3. Pretty, pretty…I’m doing some socks in Fannie’s Fingering Weight. The color is Old Roses and it’s working up so prettily.

  4. Pretty! I think you’ll get to wear them soon. Have you felt the chill in the air the last two mornings? Autumn is coming!

  5. Great picture (the last one). I’m so glad that the “Fannie” is not what I thought it was going to be, though. ROFL.
