I’m dreaming of a white Christmas
Okay, so this picture is from last year and we don’t have any snow around here yet. But last night we lit the town Christmas tree and sang Christmas carols and ate apple crisp. A little bit of snow would have been the perfect addition to the setting.
I’m just sayin.

Laurie Said,
Ho ho ho! Let’s all see a little snow! Ho ho ho! Then it will be skiing I go!
Manise Said,
Cracking up at Laurie’s comment! Pretty photo.
jill Said,
Wow! I wish our snowfall had such magnificent results. Without fail, our weather people will predict snow for Christmas whether it’s a wet year or a dry year. And every year I believe them (a little bit)! Let’s hope we all see a little in time to get the full effect for the season!
margene Said,
You have a very lovely Christmas tradition with or without snow.
LittleWit Said,
We had snow for a couple hours the day after Thanksgiving. Not sure if we will get anymore before Christmas. :/
Patty Said,
We’re looking forward to snow as well. Enjoy the weekend!
Teresa C Said,
A little bit of snow in contrast to the “could have been wearing sandals and a windbreaker” to the lighting? I’m hoping for snow as well.
Robby Said,
It’s so cold here, the breath from your singing could have caused it to snow! Enjoy what you’ve got. ;^)
Nora Said,
AAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!
I’m not ready. I haven’t even put my summer clothes away.
Jo-Ann Said,
I concur, a little (heavy emphasis on the LITTLE) snow would have been lovely last night. At least we had good friends, and a lovely tradition in town!
Hillary Said,
They’re predicting snow for us tomorrow. I think they’re just teasing me.
Wool Winder Said,
You’re not going to believe this, but we’re getting snow in the Houston area right now…and it’s accumulating. Three to five inches is predicted for our county.
Norma Said,
So true. Yesterday my hairdresser was going on and on about Christmas and shopping dilemmas, which was falling a bit flat on me as usual, but especially because of this weather. And as I was driving out, in the 50-something-degree temps and the rain, I thought, “This is just plain weird.”
Martha Said,
In my opinion, snow is pretty much the only thing winter has going for it. Well, I guess, that and sweaters. I do like sweaters.
Teyani Said,
We are predicted to get our first snow this weekend. Your’s cannot be far behind. I can’t wait!
Kat Said,
We’re supposed to get a bit this weekend. I’m looking forward to a bit of the white stuff too.
Carol Said,
I can’t wait for snow (but I think I’m in the minority!)
Becky Said,
My weatherman says there may be a few flakes for the weekend here in VA! I love snow days!
Beth Said,
Your town seems very nice by the things you mention on your blog. Have a great weekend!
elizabeth Said,
Ha! We’re supposed to have flurries tomorrow morning! A little birthday present from Mother Nature to me!
Sara Said,
We haven’t lit our town tree yet – this week-end I think…
We don’t have any snow either!!!
Cookie Said,
Lovely photo!
You have my weather, don’t you?
sandy Said,
Yes, a tad too late for your tree lighting. Too bad you can’t have a redux tonight!
Karen Said,
We got our snow at last. Hope you have! This time of year isn’t the same without it!
JessaLu Said,
…ask and ye shall receive. Just sayin ;-p
