Eye Candy Friday

November 19, 2010 By Carole

38 Skeins of Vesper Sock Yarn blog size

I’ve been doing some reorganizing and rearranging of my yarn stash and will post details and pictures of the whole project soon but in the meantime, here’s a picture of my collection of Knitterly Things Vesper Sock Yarn. 38 skeins, in case you are counting. That’s a lot of yarn, my friends.

Maybe I should knit some socks this weekend, eh? Have a good one!

Consider knitting a Willow Cowl with your most favorite! It only takes one skein of sock yarn, looks great on everybody, and the cowl can be worn indoors or out! It’s one of my favorites (along with the Lacy Baktus).

See the skein third from the right on the upper left? You could send it to me! JK
What a glorious collection! You have so much potential for not only socks, but so many other good knits, too.

If you want to make Rainbow socks with some of that self-striping yarn, I can send you notes on the pattern works. I’m about to finish my second pair.

The countdown to the big return continues for you and me and our girls. Have a great weekend, too.

I’ve been watching the yarn harlot with her self-imposed sock club thing for the past few months… this is my knitting goal for 2011: knit 1 pair of socks per month from my stash.

  13. Jeannie says

I guess one could guess that you are a fan of Vesper Yarn! Maybe you should
start a sock kal in January – December with your favorite pattern which is
simple and easy and that way encourage everyone to knit a pair a month!!
    Lovely collection.

Have you seen the new “One Skein Wonders” book of projects for sock yarn? I am really not that whipped aobut the other “One Skein” books, but this one is a winner, IMHO. There are some beautiful scarves, mittens, socks (!), and even a cute doggie sweater.

Oh my stripey goodness!!! I always loved their colourways but could never seem to get my hands on any. You’ll have fun knitting that lot up!

Oh, my. How PRETTY! You just kind of want to dive in there and roll around for a bit, don’t you. Don’t you??

OK, maybe it is just me.

I’m not sure I’ve ever encountered Vesper sock yarn, so I will have to add it to my search list.

Thanks for the lovely photo and have a great weekend.
