(random picture that has nothing to do with this post;
it’s the quilt on the end of my bed and I love it)

Stealing this format from Mary, Donna, Kym, and anyone else who may have used this, I’m offering up what’s going on with me, right here, right now.

Reading: The Hunger Games. Finally, right?

Knitting: Socks and a simple triangle shawl from handspun – both are gifts for friends and, of course, the Epic Sock Blanket.

Spinning: A braid from Enchanted Knoll that I bought at SPA. It’s wonderful, as is all of the stuff that Josette dyes.

Planning: To pick up Hannah tomorrow and bring her home. There will be sushi! And then on Saturday we will be bringing her to the airport so she can go to Florida for Spring Break. I’d be worried but she’ll be with her big brother and his family and I’m pretty sure Brant & Heather will keep a close eye on her.

Photographing: Hannah in a pair of handspun legwarmers and a handspun hat. She’ll only be home for about 10 minutes which means getting this photo shoot done is going to be tricky. Nevertheless, it has to happen so I can show you the awesome things I knit with my handspun.

Selling: Tickets to the Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast. It’s only 2 weeks away!

Thinking: About what to do with my Sirius radio subscription. My new car, wonderful as she is, didn’t come with an installed satellite radio and I hate to junk up the dashboard area with an after market unit. The problem is, I miss the talk shows and Margaritaville Radio. I’m still weighing my options and may just start using Pandora more and listen to Bill Press podcasts.

Wondering: Who will leave the 50,000th comment on this blog. It should happen in the next couple of weeks and I will definitely be sending a special something to that commenter. Maybe it will be you!

    you sound busy, but happy!!
I have yet to read The Hunger Games!!
lol. it is on my list! thanks for sharing!

  2. So glad you’re finally reading the Hunger Games! Can’t wait to hear how you like the series. Also can’t wait to see the handspun goodies!

  3. LOVE The Hunger Games … we’re all waiting for the movie, but worried that the story will suffer in the translation. I just read “Defending Jacob”, which was very good.

  4. What a great slice of your life, Carole! As for me, I haven’t read The Hunger Games. . . and probably won’t. (I’m Like That. Still haven’t seen Titanic. . .)

  5. Katniss!! Enjoy. And after our spring break conversation…mine is ending up home! No FL, no TN, just home! I hope Hannah has a wonderful time. Looking forward to seeing the results of that photo shoot!

  6. Sirius came with my car, but I’m having a hard justifying the monthly cost these days. After this year I will probably let it go. I usually listen to my ipod in the car most days anyway.

Enjoy both Hannah and your sushi tomorrow!

  7. My neice gave me The Hunger Games set for Christmas. I still haven’t read them. I better start before the movie comes out. Hannah will have a wonderful time on Spring break. Wouldnt’ it be great to be 19 again and on our way to the beach. Oh well.
She’ll have to take all kinds of fun beach photo shots for you.

  8. Great book-I’m actually looking forward to the movie. Can’t wait to see your FO’s. I was thinking of doing some leg warmers for under my boots. But then again, I don’t think they will be very handy for the next few years.

  9. That quilt is beautiful! And I Love all of your photos! You are a wonderful photographer! And as always, I so enjoy reading your blogs : )

  10. You are a busy girl! And what an incentive to keep on commenting!

P.S. I saw your picture on Etherknitter. it looked like you were having waaay too much fun! Wait…there’s so such thing as too much fun.

  11. You’re busy!
Love the quilt and how each pinwheel(?) motif is a different fabric.
    I’m inspired!

  12. woot! 50 THOUSAND??!! wow. I’m impressed but not surprised. Your posts prompt conversation and that’s one of the things I love best about your blog. (and that you listen to Margaritaville … isn’t that the best station…warm or cold weather!)

  13. I never thought I would need my Sirius radio but I can’t get by without it. Our local radio is not so great. I really can only stand NPR. Having Sirius really renewed my love of music (I mostly listen to Alt Rock, 90’s on 9 and Lithium Rock) and it’s made long driving trips much more enjoyable. I travel a lot for work and if my rental doesn’t come with satellite radio and I’ve forgotten an iPod, I’m miserable.

  14. About Sirius radio, I got it free for three months with my new car last year. A friend told me that if you let you subscription lapse, in a couple of months they will ask you back at a discounted rate! I did that and I think it was just about half price. It made it feel so much better.

  15. Good luck with getting that photo shoot.

My DD is coming home for Spring Break tonight too. She tells me she’s ‘bored’ at college and wishes she would have taken another class. I think I need to get her started on a knitting project over spring break so she can take it back to school.

  16. Is your new car iPod compatible? XM/Sirius has a mobile account feature. We did that for a while and could use it in any vehicle.

I’m finally listening to The Hunger Games too. Not sure why I waited so long to read/listen!

  17. What a beautiful quilt. Hope the photo shoot goes well. Can’t wait to see the knitted handspun.

  18. I haven’t posted in such a long time, this might be a nice re-entry. 🙂 I LOVE my XM/Sirius radio and missed it so in my last car…so happy to have it again. 🙂
