Eye Candy Friday

The crocuses in my father-in-law’s yard are in full bloom, too. I love looking across my yard and seeing clusters of them under the trees. Their pale purple petals are such a harbinger of spring.

Enjoy your weekend!

  1. Such pretty flowers, makes you want spring to be tomorrow. Still waiting for my crocuses to bloom.

  2. Lovely. The Israeli most abundant variety is white and it blooms in the autumn!
Have a lovely weekend too 🙂

  3. Last fall I planted 70 bulbs in my front entry and they are coming up! They are in buds but this weekend with the warm air they should bloom! White and lavender! Spring!

  4. I never get around to planting bulbs, but LOVE those early spring bloomers! I especially love the surprise of crocus — you don’t always notice them right away.

  5. And yesterday it was sooo much like spring! Last week my granddaughter and I counted all the crocuses that were popping up in their front yard. It is usually a riot of spring color. We both were excited 🙂

  6. I’ve seen a only few crocuses, which is strange because the cherry trees are starting to bloom and that usually happens after the crocuses. Oh well, it has been a strange “winter” here all the way around. Have a great weekend.

  7. Woo hoo – we have one tiny crocus. Poor thing is getting thrashed by the wind here in the Windy City. It is way early for us but with this crazy non-winter we have had I am ready for some spring!

  8. Alas, I did not plant these. My tulips and daffies are peeking up from the soil, but blooms are a ways away. Lucky you! Enjoy the touch of spring!

  9. It is truly remarkable how much is popping up this year. The peepers were deafening tonight. I hope they don’t freeze to death next month.
