Feather and Fan Socks

October 29, 2012 By Carole

So last week I told you I’d lost my sock mojo and here I am posting another pair of finished socks. Typical, right? The funny thing is that I actually forgot about these socks. When I posted Hannah’s socks last week I was thinking they were my September socks but then I realized they were actually my August socks and that’s when I remembered that I still had this pair of socks to show you.

Anyway, here they are. Feather and Fan socks for a dear friend.Β The yarn is Art Yarns Ultra Merino and it was a gift from JessaLu ages ago. It’s very sproingy and worked up nicely in this pattern but I have no clue what colorway it is. Sorry.

I worked on these throughout the month of September and they went to Utah with me so there was lots of plane knitting, too. And even knitter’s retreat time.

I can’t tell you who they are for because it’s a surprise but it’s someone who deserves loads more from me than a pair of socks, that’s for sure.

So. September Socks. Now we’ll just have to see if I actually finish a pair of October, errr, November socks.

All my favorite colors!! October went by soo fast and November is prep for holiday season so I think it is safe to combine the two months. In fact December could be lumped in there, too. πŸ™‚
Hope you all will be o.k with Sandy on the way. We are bracing for the worst in Ct.

Cool socks! Did a little Rav stash digging and it looks like it’s colorway #123.

Lovely socks, Carole. (And I can say that With Authority, having seen them myself in Utah!) Hope you stay safe and keep your power during the FrankenStorm. Thinking of you. . .

Such great colors! I actually put on my first pair of hand knit socks for the season this past weekend. I might get some mojo back because they were so warm and comfy πŸ™‚

Those are gorgeous! And while I would normally assume it’s Dale that deserves way more than a pair of socks, these just don’t seem like ‘Dale socks’. I could be wrong… πŸ˜‰

I remember the socks! Forgot you were working on them as once you found the MadTosh you were hooked on it. Love the colors in the socks (of course).
Thinking of you and worrying about the damn storm. So many of my dear friends are in the east and I worry about each one of you. Stay safe. xoxo
