Thursday Challenge: Fruit

It’s been a long time since I participated in the Thursday Challenge Photo project but when I got the email that this week’s theme was fruit, I knew I had the perfect photo.

Behold – the fruit platter I made at the request of my friend Anne for Tom’s 50th birthday party last weekend. I readily agreed when she asked me to do this even though I loathe cutting up fruit. I’d do anything to help a friend, even cut up lots and lots of fresh fruit. It was all worth it when I brought it to her, too, and she smiled and said to me, “I knew I gave you the right assignment. This is beautiful.”

And I got a blog post out of it, too.

Winning.

The blackberries were so delicious, and the platter was gorgeous!

I love food pictures that were arranged by good photographers! The ‘photographer eye’ always seems to know what the ‘foodie eye’ wants and in what order. Just gorgeous.

My favorite thing is fruit. I love how you used fruit for your bowls/containers. Ditto what Robby said above.

Great presentation and the use of hollowed out fruit for containers and holders. So who ate the pineapple? :-)

It was fun to read the comments today because they made me look beyond the beautiful whole and appreciate the details. Embiggening this photo was well worth it. So creative, Carole!

I could eat all of the fruit on that platter right now, and I’m not even hungry. It just looks so good!
