Wednesdays Are For Knitting

April 10, 2013 By Carole

I have been working on the same pair of socks since February 1st. Seriously, February? I love the yarn (thank you, Josette) and I love the pattern, although I will admit that 3×1 rib is a bit of a slog. Here’s the thing, though: I do not want to bring them with me on vacation so it’s really time to buckle down and get ‘er done.

Look how close I am – this should be a slam dunk. In fact, by the time some of you are reading this I might already be done.

Well. Once I get the cat off of them.

LOVE that yarn! Not much a fan of 3X1 ribbing, though. (Although it looks great!)

I just finished makjng a pair of 3×1 ribbing socks and the last part seemed to go on forever! I finally finished and love them. Those are great colors on yours. What yarn will you take for socks on your trip?

Ooo, I want to know what’s next! It’s always nice to finish something especially a pair of socks you can wear, but there must be another pair in mind.

Love the colors in that yarn – I’m making a pair of fingerless gloves in that colorway 🙂

Clearly those are meant for kitty. Alas, that means you aren’t that close, I can clearly count four feet that need socks. I think he’s probably parked there to make sure you understand that fact.

I’m betting you are done by now….

What is it with these cats and yarn?

I should knit a pair of 3×1 socks. I haven’t for ages. And I think it’s a nicer look than 2×2. Lovely yarn – I need to check that out.

A commenter asked about cats and yarn–let’s add dogs, at least small ones, and yarn! These smart critters just plain appreciate yarny goodness!

Yes, Wednesdays ARE for knitting. As are Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays, Thurs…you get the picture.

Oy. I feel your pain. Everything I have on the needles is just sitting, barely receiving more than a moment of my time every now and again. Good luck with the finish, Carole!
