Summer Fun

In keeping with Kym’s theme of searching for fun on a daily basis, Dale and I – along with several seniors from my Council on Aging – went to see the Brockton Rox play baseball on Tuesday night. We found lots of fun there.

Watching the players warm up? FUN.

Seeing the National Night Out parade of emergency vehicles with their sirens blaring start the game? FUN.

KO, the mascot of the Rox? FUN.

A whole slew of kids on the field? FUN.

Having our very own town police representing? FUN.

Drinking beer, eating hot dogs and watching baseball? FUN.

The Rox losing? Not so fun.

  3. We went to a baseball game last week and the home team won! We had a great time but I never got my head around blogging it.

  4. Sounds like a great evening! My husband and younger daughter are in San Francisco with his parents to see the Giants play – fun! Me home with the older girl getting ready for going away to a new college – kinda fun.

  5. Stands look seriously empty – hope they filled up when the game started. Did you hear about the Stitch & Pitch at Fenway (!!!!) in late August? We signed up but have not received any tix……

  6. I love going to a baseball game in the evenings. It’s not too hot, you can get a quick dinner, and lots of knitting time!

  7. Looks like a pleasant evening, but like Donna, I need my knitting to sit through a baseball game!
