I’m feeling a little random today and, on top of that, I’ve got about 10 minutes to devote to writing this post and so . . .three things on my mind right now:
- Yesterday I attended an all day conference on Municipal Preparedness and Ensuring a Safe & Secure Workplace. It was very very good – better, even than I thought it might be. The Keynote Speaker was the Police Chief from Watertown and he talked about lessons all municipalities can learn from Watertown’s experience following the Boston Marathon Bombings. He was awesome and his talk was very moving. I especially appreciated hearing it because we were in Mexico when this happened and Dale and I have always felt a bit removed from the entire experience.
- I finished all of the knitting for Miss BB on Sunday. I soaked and blocked the pieces and as of last night they are still wet. Hopefully they will be dry by tomorrow so I can get her seamed and photographed so I can wear this sweater before it’s too warm.
- There are 6 days until spring and yesterday I saw red-winged blackbirds. Today they are probably freezing their little feathered asses off but still – they are back!
And that’s all I’ve got for today.
