When you go away for two weeks you come home to a lot of tomatoes. I’ve given some away and we’ve eaten quite a few but we are overwhelmed with tomatoes.
They make for pretty art, though.
And an easy blog post, too.

sigh. I wish I lived closer… they do make a pretty picture!
I love tomatoes. Pretty picture!
It may be time to roast some tomatoes! http://knitspot.com/?p=450
Beautiful shot! I’ve got a pretty good supply too!
Love the picture! We are getting a ton of tomatoes (finally) too and this weekend I hope to make this delicious chili sauce…aka artisanal ketchup — wonderful on home made fries or anything!. Here is the link to the recipe: http://octoberfarm.blogspot.com/search?q=artisanal
Kat – if you are reading this, I was supposed to send you this recipe…can’t remember if I did or not…my brain might be fried…
It’s that time of the year – all tomatoes, all the time (it seems!) However, sadly, this too will all too soon end. 🙁
Cook up a batch of Vicki’s roasted sauce. It’s the best!! We’re going to a neighborhood party and I’m planning on a big bowl of tomatoes and basil. I think it will be a hit (and a good way to get rid of bunch!).
You made me think of the song lyrics–“two things money can’t buy-true love and home grown tomatoes!”
We came home to a lot of tomatoes as well……..summertime…it’s the best! <3
Even as a watercolor they look delicious!
