Watercolor Wednesday

October 5, 2016 By Carole

Wednesdays are for knitting and, if things had gone according to plan, you’ve be reading a post with photos of my finished Algiers shawl. I blocked it on Monday night so that I could take photos yesterday after work.

But.

When I got home from work yesterday I did the usual after-work-things. I meditated. I wrote in my journal. I made dinner. I sat down after dinner to finish The Long Way Home. And only then did I remember that I was going to take photos of the shawl. And then? It was dark.

So.

No shawl photos for you today. Instead you just get a watercolor of the local corn we had with last night’s dinner. It’s probably the last we’ll have until next July. I guess that makes it worthy of a blog post.

Excited to see it…it is a beautiful pattern. And it did seem to get very dark very quickly last night…

Looking forward to seeing your shawl and quite envious that you had corn (even if it’s the last for this year). I traveled far and wide (almost 50 miles!) last weekend looking for some, but not a cob could be found.

I know exactly how you feel as I have a finished shawl, too (AND so many other things to blog, I know), but life has a way of getting in the way (which isn’t bad!). xo
