Christmas Weekending

Hello, hello! I had a great Christmas weekend and I think it’s time to give you a recap.

Christmas Eve was lovely. I took very very few photos but I did take this selfie while everyone was singing. It’s always one of my favorite parts of the evening and this year, when everyone was singing Silent Night I got all goose bumpy. It was special and beautiful and made me so grateful for all of the people gathered in my home at that particular moment.

Christmas morning started with mimosas and new pajamas. The mimosas eventually morphed into Manhattans but the pajamas stayed all day. We lounged around and ate leftovers and opened gifts.

Eventually we had snacks by the fire and played Quiddler. It was a great way to end a really awesome day.

On Boxing Day I hung out at home, reading and knitting, playing with watercolors, and just generally relaxing and thinking about what a great weekend it had been.

My amaryllis didn’t bloom for Christmas but I’m pretty sure it will today and that’s just fine with me. I’m going to celebrate the holiday all week long!
