Wednesday Quickie

Hey there! I didn’t mean to go all AWOL on you this week but I’ve been having such a lovely time hanging out with Dale and doing . . . well . . . not much of anything except for watching movies and TV that I just haven’t had the urge to open up the computer.

I will tell you that as of today I haven’t left the house in days and it’s been great. We had a wonderful Christmas Eve with a house full of family and friends and a perfectly excellent Christmas Day with the kids. On Boxing Day we did put some stuff away but mostly loafed around. We watched Get Out and Beguiled, we caught up on This Is Us, and we both finished books we were currently reading. I think today we will venture out into the world to go to the movies (The Darkest Hour? Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri?) and out to dinner. Then again, the call of the wood stove is strong so who knows!

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday and that your week is going along beautifully. Given my current slug-like attitude I’m going to go out on a limb and say that I won’t be blogging again until . . . next year – which isn’t really that far away right now!

Peace, my friends.

  1. I’m hibernating over here as well. I love it after all the hustle and bustle of the last few weeks. Enjoy the movies. We saw Lady Bird last week. It was very good.

  2. Good for you! You’re living the dream I was imagining for myself this week before life, work, and laundry interfered. Soak up as much peace and warmth as possible!

  3. Also cabining in at home. Maaaaybe we’ll go to a local movie theater. Christmas music has been in rotation on the Bose for a week–and we may never turn on MSNBC again! What a relief to not see or hear you-know-who constantly.

  4. My holiday gift to you is _don’t answer me_! Sounds like a wonderful plan you have, Carole. Enjoy!

  5. You’re doing what feels right on a nice Christmas weekend! I saw Three Billboards awhile ago and thought the acting superb. The story creates a moral dilemma, which leaves one to think about it for days to come. Hope you had a delightful day no matter what!

  6. Sounds like an excellent plan. Can’t wait to hear how you like Three Billboards. It looks great and you can’t go wrong with Francis McDermott! Enjoy and Happy New Year.
