Tiny Person Tuesday: He’s ONE!

Our tiny person turned one last Thursday and his mom and dad threw him a terrific birthday party on Saturday. They all love the movie The Greatest Showman so they went with a circus theme and it was adorable.

I made the banner for his smash cake.

And a clown crudite platter.

There were cupcakes with lollipop balloons made by my friend Caroline.

And cupcakes with animal crackers made by my friend Sean.

And a smash cake, of course.

Hannah helped Jessica with the table settings and they were adorable.

Colorful and bright and completely on point for the theme.

The favors thanked everyone for making Jack’s birthday the “greatest show”. Soo cute!

Grampa came dressed as the Ringmaster and I think Jack spent a fair amount of time looking at him and trying to figure out how come he didn’t look like Hugh Jackman. (I’ve wondered that myself on occasion, I will admit.)

Everyone sang Happy Birthday but Jack only had eyes for that cake.

As my friend Leslie said, a baby and his first cake. It doesn’t get much better than that.

Happy First Birthday, little Jackie! Your family and friends love you so much!

  1. It looks like Jack’s already learned how to accept being celebrated with aplomb. Congratulations to all!

  2. Oh, Carole! What a FUN birthday celebration! (As always . . . you guys REALLY know how to throw a party.) Happy Birthday, little Jack! XOXO

  3. It looks like the whole family made sure that Jackie had a wonderful birthday celebration. Party planning is definitely a Julius family forte. Maybe I don’t have enough one-year olds in my life, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen a separate smash cake, only a smash cupcake. Jackie is a lucky little boy (for lots of reasons)!

  4. That is a very generous smash cake! 🙂 Looks like a wonderful time was had Carole! And Happy Birthday Jackie! Looking forward to watching your second trip around the sun.

  5. What a fun day!! I am not sure who had more fun… sweet Jackie or the rest of you! Happy (now belated) birthday, Jackie!!

  6. What a great birthday party. These young Moms are so creative. I’m pretty sure my kids had two choices – chocolate cake with sprinkles or vanilla cake with sprinkles. Just the kind of celebration Jackie should have.

  7. I’m sure a great time was had by all. How could you not? What a fabulous theme for a birthday party. Happy Birthday, Jack!

  8. ONE??!!! looks like a perfect party! (and I just read through the rest of your last two weeks and whoa – I think you need another vacation! – here’s to a fabulous rest of October and a great start to Fall!!)

  9. Oh, how adorable!! What a fabulous theme for a party, and they did a wonderful job. Dale looks amazing (even if not quite like Hugh Jackman). 😉
    Happy 1st Birthday, Jackie!!
