Weekending

Here are the rest of the photos from my weekend:

Friday Night Snacks. I did have Jackie for the afternoon but – if you can believe it – I didn’t take a single photo of him! Video? Yes! Photos? Nope. These days it’s easier to videotape him because he’s constantly on.the.go.

Saturday morning we took down Christmas. I put away my Mom’s jewelry Christmas tree along with (most) of the other decorations. I left up the greens around the windows and on the mantel along with the twinkle lights and the tree in our bedroom. Winter is dark and bleak and those lights make things cozy and cheerful.

In the afternoon we did some shopping (Dale really needed a good warm coat to wear to the game) and then rewarded ourselves with some beer at Naukabout brewery. We chatted and played Boggle (a first for us) and had a generally good time.

Sunday was the Pats game and we had a fabulous time. It was very cold but we managed to stay warm thanks to great food and drink, awesome friends, and a very well played game!

Hope you had a good weekend full of all the things you love to do, too.

  1. Sounds like a solid weekend. And those twinkle lights seem like an extra dose of cozy at a time of year when that is needed.

  2. I’m sure it’s going to be a while before Jack will actually stand still for a photo. Videoing is so much easier than “back in the day”.

  3. I always love seeing your mom’s jewelry tree. What a fabulous decoration! You and Dale look so dang cute, heading off to the big game. I’m so glad you guys got to be there, cold and all. 🙂 (Also. Those napkins are perfect.) XO

  4. Looks like a fun weekend! I don’t celebrate Christmas so don’t have any decorations to take down, but I’ll admit I do like seeing the twinkle lights still up during the dark days and nights of January.

  5. Snacks, lights, a warm coat, and a win all add up to a great weekend. Did you ever think about leaving your mother’s jewelry Christmas tree out longer? I would welcome the sparkle in the darkness of winter.

  6. The lights are definitely perfect for the dark of winter. And the jewelry tree is a wonderful remembrance from your family tree. Delightful!

  7. Sounds like a great weekend and you are back to your ritual of Friday night snacks. I am glad you were warm at the game.
