Eye Candy Friday

If this photo looks familiar it’s because it’s the same bouquet I showed you Wednesday in watercolor (and let me just clarify, those watercolor photos I show you are made with an app called waterlogue, they are most definitely not watercolor paintings done by me). Normally, I wouldn’t share (basically) the same photo twice in a week but I have a particular reason for sharing it today.

You see, a friend from my town died this week. She’s someone I’ve known for many many years and she was an active part of our community. She was a kind and loving person and her obituary included this quote:

Please don’t bring me flowers but give them to someone who can still appreciate them. Flowers are an important part of my life & you can give me a huge send off with them but then they should go to the living. The best memorial I can have is to be kept safe in the hearts of anyone who has known & loved me.

Today when I shop I will be buying a bouquet of flowers in memory of Dawn. I may keep them for myself or I may give them to a friend. Either way, they will be a lovely reminder of my friend. I hope you’ll consider doing the same. Like love, flowers are meant to be shared.

Have a great weekend.
