Our vegetable garden was a bust this year (we really need to test our soil, I think) so I’m especially thankful for the cutting garden we planted. The zinnias are in full force right now and I’m picking a bouquet each week and loving it. And one of the best things about zinnias is the more you cut them, the more they grow!
Too bad weekends don’t work that way, huh? At least this one is a loooooong one! I’ll see you back in this space on Tuesday. Take good care, friends.
Love zinnias! Enjoy the long weekend!!
My zinnias are exploding right now, too. I just love them — such a sweet flower! Have a great weekend, Carole.
I love zinnias too. I gave up vegetable gardening except for a couple of tomato plants. It gives me an excuse to visit the farmers market. Happy Weekend!
Happy loooong weekend!
Enjoy your zinnias and the lovely, long weekend!
Have a wonderful weekend Carole!
Have a wonderful weekend!

Our garden (if I can even call it that) has been interesting this year. We have horrible soil so we brought in a load of farm dirt… and have had Everything growing, except what I planted. LOL Our tomatoes did grow though. Actually they grew like crazy – like a science experiment gone wrong crazy. But sadly, we’ve had so much rain, the tomatoes split open before they ripen.
I love zinnias! (Why don’t I plant them?)
Happy Weekend, Carole!
Happy long weekend! Hope it’s full of beautiful flowers and other delights.
Zinnias always take me back to childhood— wonderful colors, summer— another good thing! Have a great Weekend!
ha! if only we’d get more Fridays by simply really enjoying the ones we have!! Enjoy the weekend!!
Sorry to hear about your vegetable garden, Carole. That is discouraging! But it is lovely that your flower garden is doing so well. Have a lovely, long weekend full of wonderful things.
Red zinnias remind me of my Mom. For a few years she planted a bed of red zinnias and then harvested the seeds. Thank you for reminding me of her. Enjoy this long weekend.
