My Year In Books 2019

January 6, 2020 By Carole

Today I have a graphic to share with you. It’s looooooong but it’s a summary of all the books I read in 2019. And, I have to say, I’m sort of proud of this one because I took 10 screen shots from the GoodReads website and I was able to merge them into one jpeg to share. I still wish GoodReads would provide the Year in Books in a way that was easily shareable but I’m pleased to have found a work around.

Anyway. Here is it . . .

I read 88 books last year and many of them were truly fabulous. I’ll be setting a goal of 75 books again for 2020 and I’ll be sharing them all with you as we go along. Happy Reading, friends!

I’ve been wondering how people have managed to post this graphic — I agree that Goodreads should make an easy way to download the whole thing!

I see a lot of books in your list that I also read and loved as well as quite a few that are in my TBR list. Here’s to another year of great books!

Nicely done, Carole! (Both the book-reading AND the graphic-sharing.) I’m looking forward to reading with you . . . and following along with your reading, too . . . this year. XO

Wow! That’s wonderful. I am trying to read more but I don’t think I’ll come close to that.

Very nice. I’ll look forward to your reviews – they are always fun to read and always add to my TBR pile!

This is impressive in so many ways, Carole. Lots of books! I will explore the ones I have not read, and as usual, I so appreciate you sharing this. I am reading Fever at present. What were the top five favorite books you read this year, if you don’t mind me asking? Have a great week!

I too wish Goodreads would provide an easy way to share the images – I like your work around! Your reading has inspired my reading – and that, my friend, is the best part ever! XO

Excellent Carole! And as always some of the best books I’ve read have come from your recommendations. Here’s to 2020 and plenty of reading time ahead. (Put the damn phone down Patty…)

One question. Are you actually sitting down and physicallyreading ALL these books or are you listening to them being read. Big difference.

One thing that’s obvious in this year of books is that we all read a lot of great books, a lot of books in general, and we LOVE to read and share! (Well, I don’t share except on other’s blogs. We have many books in common which, other than knitting, is a major reason we become friends. Here’s to another great year in 2020.

If there’s one thing the pandemic has been good If there’s one thing the pandemic has been good for, it’s my sourdough game. I actually started learning about making sourdough bread a week before the stay at home orders thanks to @sprboston as he shared his starter and recipe and technique with me. Since then I have kept Mama Cass fed and alive and have baked many loaves of bread. This one might be my best one yet. I did the final proof in the fridge for 24 hours and baked it from its cold state. Great spring and ear and crumb, it was delicious with dinner tonight. #sourdough #sourdoughbread #lookatthatcrumb #lookatthatear #homebakedbread #imadeitmyself #homemadeisbest
