Eye Candy Friday

It’s a rainy, windy day here in my neck of the woods but this bouquet of daffodils on my kitchen table makes it feel sunny despite the weather.

Let’s hope we all find sunshine this weekend in one form or another.

Be well. Stay home. See you Monday.

  1. My kitchen table has one stem of a beautiful deep burgundy amaryllis. We planted this bulb outside a couple of years ago and it apparently began to grow just before we got a freeze. The stem only grew to about five inches with two slightly withered buds. Then three amazingly large buds appeared. It began to open, and was falling over and breaking the stem, so DH cut it and brought it in. I’m sorry it lost its chance to be tall, but then again I am getting to enjoy it more because it’s inside. Wish I could send you a picture but just picture it in your mind.

Flowers are a really big help right now, aren’t they, Your daffodils are so sunny. Stay safe everyone.

  2. We’ve got the same gray skies and rain, but yesterday was beautiful (and wildly windy) and maybe tomorrow will be lovely as well. Here’s to sunshine however we can find it. Stay well, Carole.

  3. We’ve thankfully got sun here, but more rain is on the way. I think I may have to gather some flowers and bring them inside before the rain comes to keep the sunshine going!

  4. Remember what they say . . . April showers bring May flowers! 😉 In the meantime, grab some sunshine wherever you can find it. XOXO

  5. Have a nice weekend Carole. It looks like the sun will shine. Hopefully something will bloom around here soon. I’m aiming to have my deck look like yours by Sunday! xo

  6. What a cheerful bouquet, Carole. We have had weeks of lots of rain, but for the last couple of days we have had some sun. It has really helped my mood! By the way, kitchen drain is open – hooray!!! It’s the little things, ya know? Be well, be present, practice gratitude. We can do this!

  7. We have some brief moments of sunshine today… and I am so grateful for whatever moments of sun we get! Have a good weekend! XO

  8. The sun has been out…but Fletch felt some drops and…perhaps a flake or two!! The wind continues which means no walking. Hoping for a windless day tomorrow! happy Weekend Carole – enjoy!
