Three On Thursday

I was chatting online with a friend recently and she asked me what my favorite iPhone apps are. I had to think about it for a minute or two but I readily identified the ones that I use daily. Today I’m sharing them with you.

  1. Transfer Pro This app is the best and easiest way I have found to get my photos off my phone and onto my laptop. You just open up a tab with the correct IP address and check the photos on your phone that you want to transfer. It’s simple and fast and I use it all the time. It’s not free but it’s worth every penny.
  2. TV Club Friends. There are so many television shows to watch. And so many different places to watch them. It’s easy to lose track of what shows you have already watched, what shows you want to watch, and when new episodes of shows you watch drop. TV Club allows you to put all of your shows in one place. It tells you where you can stream the show and it allows you to check off each episode as you watch it. I’ve tried a few different apps for this and TV Club is by far the one I like the best. And it’s free.
  3. Habit List This app, just as it’s name implies, allows you to track your habits. You can set up habits for whatever schedule works for you, naming specific days or intervals, it’s incredibly flexible. You can set it up to remind you to do something at a certain time of day. You can track streaks (this app is how I know I have meditated for 544 days in a row!), you can even track something you do multiple times/day like drinking water. It’s free and it’s fantastic.

I’m sorry that those are all iPhone apps and I didn’t actually check to see if there are other versions available for them. Hopefully if you aren’t an Apple person you can find something similar for your device. And if you do have an iPhone and you give these a try I’d love to know.

  1. Talk about fantastic resources!! Won’t it be nice to stop using the alarm on my phone for just about everything :)Thanks for these. (And 544 days straight is huge. Congratulations.)

  2. I’ve never heard of TV Club, but it sounds amazingly useful, especially with respect to where to watch shows. Is it only for TV shows, or does it have movies too?

  3. I’m going to have to take a look at a couple of these. Maybe I can finally get my mom to download some pictures from her phone. Thanks!

  4. These are fantastic resources! (I used Habit for a bit but got away from it, thanks for the reminder!) And wow… that transfer app… thank you!!

  5. These apps make me wish I had an iphone but I’m going to see if any of them are available for Android, especially Transfer Pro. Thanks, Carole!

  6. Thanks Carole! Totally going to check out TV Club – should work better than taking screen shots of things I think I want to watch! And 544…that is amazing…go YOU!

  7. I have an android phone (I am not a cool girl), but I am going to see if any of these are available for android. It’s nice to see apps that are useful without having to fall down the app rabbit hold. Thanks, Carole.

  8. I don’t use any of these apps either – and I’m curious about Transfer … I have iCloud, so my photos automatically share and I never thought about doing it differently!
