Three On Thursday

Yesterday on the Happier Podcast, the happiness hack was to write a 6 word memoir. The concept came from Larry Smith, who wrote a book called (ironically enough) Six Word Memoirs! I took this as a challenge and I wrote 3. One for my health, one for my soul, and one for my happiness.

Less salt, less fat, better health.

I am worthy of good things.

Reading and knitting bring me joy.

I challenge you to leave a 6 word memoir in the comments! (And don’t forget to include a link to your post if you wrote one for today.)

  1. Meditation is music for the soul ?????
Be still to know yourself better ?
I am grateful for hot showers ?
Eclipse of the moon is eminent ?

    1. Becky, whoa. I know we don’t know each other at all. But–oh my. Your 6 words just rocked me to my core. This was the light bulb moment of my year, and I didn’t even know it–AND, of course I knew it…–’til now. Thank you.

      1. I’m happy that it meant something to you. It has taken me a long, long time to actually apply that epiphany to my life. And, of course, I have to rededicate myself every day to setting aside expectations and embracing what comes.

  2. Family. Love. Fun. Purpose. Dedication. Happiness.

(This might be the first time I’ve ever done this, though I’ve seen it & have been challenged before… I don’t know why I think it’s so hard. It’s not like it set in stone or I can’t write another!! Haha.)

  3. I had my psychology students write about their pandemic education experiences in this format. It was challenging yet insightful–we had a great lesson.
