Wednesdays Are For Knitting: Baby Merry-Jane Booties

Is there anything sweeter than hand knits for a baby? In particular a girl baby? Just look at these booties that I made for a friend’s daughter who is about to have her first baby.

The minute I saw them I knew they were perfect for this little one as her mom is a super girly-girl and I’m pretty sure this baby is going to wear dresses on a regular basis.

And I just love how they look like little black Mary Janes with white ankle socks! The pattern is Baby Merry-Jane booties from Bekah Knits. It’s pretty straightforward and not fiddly at all. In other words: highly recommended. The yarn is Knit Picks Shine Sport and Knit Picks Stroll Fingering. Both are superwash, of course.

I’m already looking forward to modeling shots when this wee one makes her arrival in early 2023.
