Wednesdays Are (Sometimes) For Knitting: Long Strange Trip Socks

I have a finished pair of socks for you today. Don’t faint at the surprise of actual knitting content, mmmkay?

The pattern is my Picot Edge Sock and the yarn is, not surprisingly, Vesper Sock Yarn in the colorway Long Strange Trip.

It’s a 10 stripe repeat and when I tell you those stripes match perfectly I am not kidding. From the legs . . .

Right down to the toes. I don’t know how Julia does it but it’s quite impressive.

These are going off to a friend who recently recovered from breast cancer. I hope she feels the love, concern, and hope that went into every stitch.

  1. Love your picot top and use it exclusively (except for a men’s sock where I do a hemmed top minus the picot.) It stays up just as well as a ribbed top, and doesn’t leave little ridges in your shin!

  2. Those are awesome socks! Congratulations on a lovely finish and I hope your friend wears them in health.

  3. Those are GREAT socks, Carole. Love the colors, the stripes, and the name of the yarn! Winners all around. And I’m sure your friend will feel the love when she receives them! XO
