You may have heard that the female occupant of the White House has a documentary…

It’s dark in the northern hemisphere these days. It’s dark when I get up in the morning and it’s dark when I leave work at the end of the day. My recommendation to counteract all of that darkness?
Twinkle lights! And put them everywhere!
I have battery operated ones all over my house: on my mantle in the living room, in a pot of faux greenery, in clear glass jars. I have plug in ones around doorways. And I have several . . . ahem five . . . winter trees that plug in. I call them winter trees because they are flocked but I don’t put any decorations on them.
All of this light lifts my spirits and gives my whole house a cozy glow. While this is not a commercial, here are a few links should you choose to make a purchase:

We have some in the entrance to the living room from the kitchen. They are wrapped around bamboo poles (which Fletch harvested from our back yard). I think I need some for my bedroom. Great idea!!
I heartily concur with the liberal use of twinkle lights! More = better!
The lights have been appearing at my house, too. I only have one tree, but it sits between two rooms & can be enjoyed from the kitchen, too — and it’s LOADED with lights!!
I am happy to see lots of twinkle lights going up in my neighborhood — we need all the light we can get at this time of year. Thanks for these recommendations. I may need to add some inside when we get back from Florida and people are taking down their outdoor decorations but the days are still dark.
Battery-powered twinkle lights are a GREAT invention! I have them everywhere in my house, too! XO
