The cactus at work is in full bloom and it’s gorgeous. I took a regular photo of it but I think this watercolor version is even better.
Happy Wednesday, friends. It’s almost the weekend!
Dale and I had a terrific weekend in Maine and I probably should share photos. But I just might not. Or I might eke them out over the next few weeks when daily photos aren’t so lovely because November. In any case, for today I have this watercolor:
Ahhhhhh. The ocean. We made a point to stop and visit the coast of Maine on our drive home Sunday and I’m so glad we did because the ocean soothes me in a way that nothing else can. Even when it’s cold and windy (and it was!) I can stand and watch those waves for a good, long time.
Here’s to doing more of what’s good for our souls.
Happy Monday, friends! Dale and I were away this weekend so I’m going with an easy Monday post today, a look back at the month of October.
It was a super fun month with lots of Jackie time plus some crafting, plenty of great food and drink, plants and foliage and knitting and friends.
November will bring it’s own photographic challenges: the light is gone by the time I’m home from work and the opportunities for outside photos are slim. I’ll make it work, though, because my daily photo practice is one that truly matters to me and I’ve been at it for a long, long time.
Here’s to a great week ahead, friends!
Oh man, yesterday was a day. I am so not a phone person and yet I spent the better part of the day on the phone because work. Different issues, different fires to help put out, eight separate phone calls . . . it made for a loooooong day.
All of which is to say that my energy for writing a great blog post is sapped. All you get today is a watercolor of some fall foliage I photographed from the roof of a parking garage. I hope those colors make you happy.
If they don’t . . . sorry . . . and please don’t call me to tell me. Heh.
Now that we’re a week into October, let’s take a look back at September.
Here’s the photo mosaic:
And here’s the 1SE video:
It was a month full of all the things and people I love. Pulling this together, though, was not without it’s challenges this time. I got a new laptop and there’s been a learning curve (I’m looking at you, Windows 10) plus some photos were on my old laptop and some were on here and I haven’t figured out yet what I want to do about Photoshop (do I just buy the downloadable version and be done or do I buy the subscription version and pay every month?) so it just took a little longer this time around. Kind of like a lot of things when there’s change, right?
Speaking of change, I think October will look much different than September!
P.S. Be sure and check in with Kym today for the latest post on our Read With Us online book club. Our book is Just Mercy and you’ve got plenty of time to read it before we start our discussion next month.
