Eye Candy Friday

It’s a momentous moment . . . the sharing of the first dahlia bouquet of 2025!

I picked 7 dahlias on Sunday, 5 with long stems and 2 with shorter stems. They are from just 3 varieties (Pink Runner, Castle Drive, and Mystere) so the palette is very similar. I took this photo outside my kitchen door and then arranged the flowers in 2 different vases, one for the mantel (I love that I have a mantel for this now!) and one for the bookshelf. They bring me so much joy.

I hope they will serve as a reminder to you to find the joy this weekend, even if it’s fleeting or elusive.

  1. Oh, Carole! These are just stunning, so beautiful. They would definitely bring me lots of joy if I had them on my mantle. I hope you have many more this summer. Joy can be thin on the ground these days. It’s so fulfilling to have nurtured something that becomes this beautiful.
