Contest Winner

83 of you left a comment on my Finishing Contest Post and many of you guessed that I would finish both the socks and the mitts. As you know from yesterday’s post, that is indeed what happened. Now I know you want to know who the winner is, right?

So my random number generator chose 21 and the 21st commenter to guess that I would finish both projects was: Dinah! Dinah is a local knitter and spinner and she just happens to be a library director, too. I’m happy to be giving her this:

It’s a skein of Bambie, a brand new superwash merino and bamboo sock yarn from Blue Ridge Yarns.

And I’m afraid that’s all for today. I have a lousy sore throat and cough. I am home from work and my plan is to drink lots of tea and nap. I’m sorry but the Rhinebeck recap is just going to have to wait until tomorrow.

I’m home barking like a dog too, minus the sore throat. And with the Lauren Bacall voice. Feel better soon :-)

Feel better soon! I looked for you this weekend but didn’t see you. I did see Margene running through the parking lot but didn’t get to talk to her either.

Looking forward to seeing your pictures – I left my camera at home by mistake!

Sorry to hear you’ve contracted the “ick” too, Carole. May you have a variety of teas at the ready, and Dale to dash to the store for OTC reinforcements of your choice.

Congrats to Dinah! That’s a lovely skein. Take care of that cold and we’ll hope to see you tomorrow. (I know too well: just thinking about doing the recap can be nearly as tiring as the event.)

I seem to have the same thing a sore throat and cough. Unfortunately I have to still go to work today, but will retire early tonight. Hot water with honey will be my drink for the day, it really soothes my throat. Take Care (I plan to). Blogging sure can wait, your blog is one of the few I checked today.

I’m all coughing, too. I fell into bed the minute I got home on Sunday and slept for two hours. I blame the stout. ;op

It was awesome to see you!!!!!!!! (how many exclamation points are too many? hehe)

Oh crap, hope I wasn’t the one who shared my germs with you! I made it back for our counseling appt Monday at 11, then home to bed. It was good to chat w/ you and the others Saturday night. I didn’t quite get everybody’s names… was it Anne that is from Utah (the one knitting the lace shawl) (as well as Margene)?

    That’s a great prize!

Sorry you’re feeling icky. I’ve noticed quite a few of my friends who attended Rhinebeck are under the weather. I hope you recover quickly and get all the fluids and rest your body needs. Take care.

Your prescription is perfect. I’m sorry you have the cold of the season (everyone has it, or has had it, or soon will have it).
