Thankful Thursdays

We’ve covered the big stuf in the last 2 weeks of thankfulness posts. Family, job, home, pets. There’s still so much left to talk about, though!

This week I am thankful for:

1. My friends.  I certainly never thought I would make so many friends when I started this blog but that’s exactly what happened. And I have wonderful friends at work and at home, too. I have many and I am blessed.

2. My hobbies.  Knitting comes at the top of this list but I also love spinning and photography. I am thankful that I have the time and resources to devote to these hobbies.

3. The wonders of our modern world. Indoor plumbing and electricity. Email and iPods and cell phones. Aluminum foil and plastic wrap. Microwaves. All those little and not-so-little things that make my life better.

Expressing thanks for all these things makes me happy.

  1. I never thought my life would turn out so rich. God surprises us sometimes. I am deeply thankful also for my many blessings.

  2. Thankfully I’ve found your blog and enjoy the creative inspiration you provide each morning. Some folks like the Today Show or Good Morning America; I prefer CaroleKnits with my coffee.

  3. I’m with you on all of the above! Love our group photo of the Rhinebeck Virgins about to embark on a day of sheepie fun.

  4. Jill said it exactly like I would have–coffee and Carole Knits..the perfect way to to start the day. Also thankful for a good game of “Bejeweled” on my IPOD….when everything else seems to tough to tackle at this moment!

  5. Another great, positive post! I’m going to have to work hard not to just copy your thankfulness 🙂 I have to agree with the other ladies … not much better than CaroleKnits with your morning coffee, unless perhaps it’d be getting together for coffee (or an adult beverage) with my favorite Carole!

  6. Great list! I really am thankful for hobbies, too (as well as the rest of your list). I can’t imagine how stressed out I’d be if I couldn’t express myself through knitting, sewing, etc.

  7. And, I am thankful that I found you and your blog – you have helped me learn to knit better and I enjoy your friendship! And, Dale’s too!
