Eye Candy Friday

January 30, 2015 By Carole

Awwww, you guys. I am all verklempt over your comments yesterday. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for your kind words and compliments and congratulatory remarks. The awesome part about all of this is that as much as you all think I have given to you, I have gotten back in spades.

red yellow tulips waterlogue for carole knits

And so, today’s Eye Candy Friday photo is a photo of the ten tulips Dale brought me yesterday. One for each year that I’ve been writing this blog, in case you missed the symbolism. They are lovely and of course I had to waterlogue them.

It’s hard to believe that the weekend is upon us already. I suppose that has to do with the fact that we basically had a weekend in the middle of the week. That’s okay by me, though! And this weekend is a big one . . . Go Pats!

fresh tulips make such pretty waterlogues! I’m cheering for the Pats myself this weekend – and for the commercials…hope they’re worthy! Let’s hope there’s a big celebration around here come Monday!

Go Pats! Love spring flowers in my home this time of year. I had bought hyacinths at WF and the fragrance was intoxicating!

That Dale! What an awesome way to celebrate your decade-of-blogging. (Waterlogue is so addicting, non?) As you know, I’m not a follower of the footballs . . . but have fun and enjoy the game!!! XO

I unfortunately missed your anniversary blog yesterday – congratulations on sharing your beautiful photography, your life, knitting, books, life’s peaks and pits, recipes, and so much more! I look forward to reading your blog every day, and can only imagine the commitment it takes to write and respond daily! You’re a beautiful lady, Carole…inside and out! My biggest regret is not finding you earlier for you have enriched my life in so many ways in such a short time!

Wishing you many more happy years doing all the things that make your spirit soar and feed your soul. Now cross your fingers for the Pats on Sunday…and be sure to see the Budweiser commercial – it’s the best – again this year!

Tulips are perfect to Waterlougue. Dale is one of the sweetest hubbies on the planet. Lucky girl! (Smith is too.) 🙂
I’m trying to decide where to hide from the noise and shouting that will be in my basement while Smith watches the game. The only reason I can think to be around is for a bite of guac.

Now I get to congratulate you on having such an awesome, caring husband! Football is really not my thing, but I just read this http://xkcd.com/1480/ and loved it. So, go Pats and hooray for snacks!

Happy Weekend! Good luck to your team! I hope I can check in at some point to see how the game’s going… or just check in at the beach and catch the final score!!

Congratulations Carole! I have very much enjoyed your blog for many years now. I think that waterlogue technique is so lovely! How is it done? Could you do it with the image of a person? And, yes, it is a good weekend to stay inside and knit along with the Patriots!

Yup, we’ll be watching football too. Don’t have a favorite team but I do enjoy good football. Hope it is a good game this year. I really enjoy the commercials…hope they are good too! 😀
