Three On Thursday

April 5, 2018 By Carole

As I may have mentioned a time or two over these last many years, music plays a super important role in our lives. Dale and I met because of his band and, while our taste in music isn’t always the same, we do love an evening together listening to our favorite songs. My point is that I have a lot of playlists on my phone. There are playlists for evenings on the deck and for romantic evenings by the fire, there are playlists for cleaning and painting, there are playlists holidays and dinner parties and so much more.

Of course there is also a playlist for the campaign. Today I’m sharing three songs from that list.

Oh boy do you ever. And I mean that in a totally positive way because I have made some fantastic new friends these last few months.

I might only have one match but I can make an explosion.

My favorite jam for driving around town looking at all my signs.

Do you use music to inspire you? I’d love to hear your favorite in the comments!

These three songs are just great for your campaign! One of the songs I use to feel inspired goes back to college days – Bad Company. It’s just a rowdy, get ready, don’t mess with me kind of song that brings back fun memories, but definitely not a good one for the campaign. Just a couple more days before you’re hopefully playing “We Are the Champions”!

Oh, I love a good, inspirational playlist! 🙂 For some variety, I might add . . . “Fighter” (Christina Aguilera), “Can’t Stop” (Red Hot Chili Peppers), and “Lose Yourself” (Eminem). You GO, Carole!!! XO

I love music! Your playlist looks great.
My favorite inspirational songs are “Don’t stop me now” (Queen) and “Faith of the Heart” (Rod Stewart/ also the theme of Star Trek Enterprise)

I need to put more of my songs into playlists! It could be fun to have one for each event instead of just playing the whole list!

This is great! I was listening to the Carrie Underwood/Ludacris Champion song this morning and that certainly has some energy!

I remember driving on the Autobahn in the 1980’s in a Volvo with the sunroof open playing music from various spy movies/shows. Think ‘Avengers’ at 80 mph! lol
Hope the election goes your way.

Carole, I am out of touch with music these days. I am somewhat stuck in the 70’s for favorite music, but I think these are fabulous for your campaign. Just a few more days, girl, and you will hopefully have additional responsibilities besides picking out campaign songs! I am sending you positive energy, hang in there!

I first heard Rachel Patten’s Fight Song at a Dems gathering for a congressional candidate in 2016. So glad it’s one of yours, too!

I love all types of music-I’ve started a play list for when the top is down. Mostly 80s music that I loved as a teenager that I can play real LOUD! Little Red Corvette tops the list!

If there’s one thing the pandemic has been good If there’s one thing the pandemic has been good for, it’s my sourdough game. I actually started learning about making sourdough bread a week before the stay at home orders thanks to @sprboston as he shared his starter and recipe and technique with me. Since then I have kept Mama Cass fed and alive and have baked many loaves of bread. This one might be my best one yet. I did the final proof in the fridge for 24 hours and baked it from its cold state. Great spring and ear and crumb, it was delicious with dinner tonight. #sourdough #sourdoughbread #lookatthatcrumb #lookatthatear #homebakedbread #imadeitmyself #homemadeisbest
