This picture of the bridal wreath in our front yard is from about a week ago, the shrub is past it’s peak now. Like so many of our spring flowers . . . lilacs . . . lily of the valley . . . violets . . . it reminds me of my childhood and makes me think of my mom. She wasn’t an exceptional gardener but she loved flowers and I loved to pick them and bring them to her. Happy memories, for sure.
Make some happy memories this weekend, my friends!

That is lovely, and just imagining a bouquet of bridal wreath, lilac, violets, and lily of the valley makes me happy today. Have a great weekend, Carole!
It is a little bittersweet that all those things are done blooming. In a flash they were done! Have a great weekend and I hope that you and Dale makes some wonderfully happy memories this weekend! XOXO
We had a huge bridal wreath spirea in front of our house when I was a little girl, too. I loved it! (Not only an impressive bloom to look at, but those blooms were the perfect size to stick in my Barbie doll’s hand to use as a wedding corsage.) Have a great weekend! 🙂
That’s a beautiful shot Carole! Wishing you and Dale a great weekend! It’s summer!! 🙂
Spring flowers are so ephemeral—wonder what they’re telling us. Have a great weekend!
what a lovely photo, memory and wish, Carole – thank you! (also slightly jealous of those blue skies!!)
I remember those shrubs as a kid-so pretty.
