Eye Candy Friday

On Tuesday night we put away the obvious Christmas decor . . . the tree, the window lights, the Merry Christmas signs and Santas. But the winter decor . . . that’s another story. There are still twinkle lights and greens and small trees. And this bedroom tree. Because it brings me so much joy.

I hope you find lots of things that bring you joy this weekend.

  1. That’s a double win — more light in any form is beautiful in the dark of winter, and there was less putting-away on Tuesday! Happy Weekend!

  2. That looks so cozy. I’ve left the greens and twinkle lights up too. It makes the whole house feel so warm and cozy and I love that feeling. Happy Weekend Carole!

  3. What a beautiful tree! I took some of the lights off our tree and scattered them around my room. It looks a bit 14 year old girlish but…. It feels magically calming. And hey – if it wasn’t for the acne, I wouldn’t mind being 14 again. 🙂

    Wishing you much joy!

  4. Most joyous thing this weekend is that it will also include Monday! The most un-joyous thing is that I’m gonna hafta take down the tree… psyching myself up for that!

  5. I’ll admit that I’m a bit of a curmudgeon and wish people would put away their Christmas decorations as soon as it’s January, but I really don’t mind if the twinkle lights are still up for a while yet. More light during winter is always welcome!

  6. I love that tree! It’s beautiful, and it doesn’t look like it has ornaments. But it is beautiful in spite of it, or because of it. Very elegant. I need one of those! Is it flocked? I leave my twinkle lights up almost year round in the den. It is very cheerful and seems to help hold back the dark. I hope you have a lovely weekend, Carole.

  7. oohhh, a tall skinny tree is perfect! and because inquiring minds – are the lights on a timer?! happy twinkle lights!!
