Three On Thursday

Today, I have 3 housekeeping matters to clear up.

  1. A while back, when I asked you all to support my Kiwanis Club by purchasing a cash calendar, I said I would put all the names of donors into a hat and pull a winner for a prize from me. Well, I did that, and the winner is Mary! Look for something from me headed your way very soon, my friend. And to everyone who donated, thank you very much!
  2. I haven’t forgotten about the Ask Me Anything posts. I’ll be working on answering your questions over the summer and once I’m caught up on those I will once again ask you to ask me . . . anything.
  3. I have chosen the Lavender Fields Socks by Helen Stewart for Hannah’s wedding socks. I had a hard time deciding, honestly, and had narrowed it down to Winters Frost, Vintage Fairy Lights, Heart Socks, Mint Tea Socks, and I Smell Snow. I went with the Lavender Fields ones because once that lace panel is done it’s really just a plain ole sock and that feels very doable at this point. Thank you to everyone who made a suggestion, these were all new patterns for me and I may wind up knitting all of them at some point.

And that’s all I have for you this week. If you wrote a post for this week’s Three On Thursday please share your link below.

  1. I think the socks will be lovely!

I have to thank you for urging us to buy the cash calendar. I was happy to do it anyway, but I won some cash, which was a really nice surprise!

  2. I think you made a wise and beautiful choice on the socks. Knit like the wind my friend!

  3. Now that you have decided on a pattern, knit away, Carole! I hope those socks fly off the needles. And when you have finished your wedding knitting, I am looking forward to your responses to “ask me anything”. The questions will probably be as interesting as the answers.

  4. Excellent choice for the socks. The round and round will be quick work for you. I love a cash calendar! I’m guessing I completely forgot – the fire drill I’m currently working in is sucking pretty much everything I’ve got! 🙂 Yay for Mary and for Sarah’s win!

  5. I am determined to knit one of the sock patterns you’ve posted–they are all lovely! I have got to get over my sock dread.

  6. well yay! to see my name in that #1 above 🙂 and I LOVE the socks you chose. I’ve been knitting plain vanilla for a while and wonder about branching out a bit. a shorter sock seems like a great way to start!
