This weekend felt a lot like last weekend. It was cold and I never left…
Weekending, September 12th-14th, 2025
Another weekend is over and it was a fine one.
We stayed home from the campground on Friday to entertain friends. You know how we host Pergola Thursdays every week in the summer? Well, we didn’t want to let it go this year so we are now hosting Fireside Fridays monthly going forward. It was still warm enough to be outside for most of the evening but we did come in eventually and everyone enjoyed a slice of apple pie that I made that day.

We headed to the camper on Saturday morning, leaving Fred and George at home since we were only going to be away overnight. The weather was wonderful, warm enough to be outside but cool enough to need a sweatshirt. Perfect September camping weather.

We sat by the canal for a couple of hours, watching the boats.

And we had an early campfire before I grilled a steak for our dinner. We took an evening stroll around the campground and then watched a little tv before bed.

I had my coffee outside Sunday morning and it was lovely to sip while I knit. I swap my mugs out seasonally and this is my summer mug so next weekend will be my last with it until next year.

We had lunch at the Seafood Shanty down the road and it was terrific. We shared a lobster roll and some fried clams along with onion rings and french fries. What a treat!
I hope your weekend included some treats, too.

6:20 a.m. here and I am now craving a slice of apple pie followed by a lobster roll, fried clams, onion rings and fries! LOL. That sounds like a perfect weekend Carole and I really like the idea of Fireside Fridays.
It was the perfect weekend for weather! I am savoring these days that get a bit crisp after the sun goes down but the days warm beautifully… Happy Monday!
Gorgeous yarn, delicious food, and a great weekend!
Looks like a splendid late summer weekend. And I am coveting that mug! You switch them with the seasons? So if I ‘borrowed’ that mug you wouldn’t notice it missing for a long time? Hmmm.
There you go again, showing me those lobstah rolls! There are none to be found where I live, and I love lobstah! Looks like a perfect weekend, Carole. Hope your week it just as good.
Sounds like a perfect late-summer weekend! I can’t imagine anything more delicious than homemade pie, a lobster roll, and coffee outside.
Sounds like a pretty perfect weekend to me!
Sounds like a great weekend, Carole! I spent a lot of time out in my garden this weekend. The weather is perfect for late season garden tasks. XO
