Just a photo from each day to share with you on this first Monday in…
Eye Candy Friday

I’m pretty sure this bumblebee is the queen. She’s huge compared to the other bumblebees in my dahlias. And she’s been resting and taking shelter in the center of this huge blossom for a couple of days, all indicators of her role in the colony. Seeing her there and seeing the number of worker bees declining is giving me all the feels. Gratitude. Melancholy. Closure. And hope because if there’s one thing I’ve learned from gardening, it’s that the natural world adapts and survives and the cycle will begin again.
I wish you a happy weekend.

Great picture! And, happy weekend!
Long Live The Queen! (have a great weekend!)
What a beautiful sentiment for a melancholy, transitional (yet beautiful!) time. XO
To everything there is a season (and a lovely photo)!
Lovely picture, lovely thoughts. Thanks for sharing.
I love seeing bee butts in flowers. Isn’t it the best feeling when you grow flowers and see the bees enjoying them? Thanks for sharing this one. Happy weekend!
