Eye Candy Friday

As you can see, I’m still picking dahlias. They have slowed down considerably but I was able to make two bouquets this week and I think they are all the sweeter for the knowledge that they are fleeting. As I said to Kym earlier this week, I’m coming up on the not-so-fun part of being a dahlia farmer so I’m holding on to all the joy that I can as a reminder of why I do this.
Hold on to some joy this weekend, friends.

The quantity may have slowed down, but the beauty sure has not! What a gorgeous bouquet. Have a fabulous weekend Carole!
The end of the garden is bittersweet for sure. But soon you will be snuggled up with Fred and George dreaming of next season. Have a great weekend!
They are still lovely, Carole. What a great season you have had, and now you can make plans about where you will put them next year while you do the work. I am endlessly impressed with your flower garden.
I feel lucky that I’ve gotten to enjoy them without the hard work of digging, cleaning, and storing. Thanks!
It’s nice to see those dahlias. Ours (and there were sooo many at the time) lost the battle to frost the week of the 6th. So sad! I am going to save my tubers for the first time…any words of advice?
Just gorgeous, Carole. I hope your weekend is as lovely! XO
Yes, let’s all hold on to the joy! These are lovely. I’m sure it’s sad to wrap up dahlia season, but that just means the start of the anticipation for the next one!
