Holiday Catch Up

Hello! I did not intend to take a little blog break at the beginning of this week but that’s what happened. Between the Christmas Eve party prep and the cold I’ve been dealing with, the blog posts went sideways. I am feeling much better (neti pot for the win!) and I’m ready and looking forward to tonight’s gathering of family and friends.

Here are a few photos of what’s been happening around here.

We ate wonderful oysters that Doreen and Mark sent home with me last week. What a treat!

I made 2 big batches of Chex mix. It’s a holiday tradition around here.

The cats keep us entertained. The vet came on Monday for their annual check up and they are both doing well. Fred weighs 10 pounds now and George weighs 18 pounds. Oh boy. I call this photo “if it fits, I sits.” Fred fits. George does not.

I’m signing off until next week. I hope you have a wonderful holiday season, if you’re celebrating. And if you’re struggling or stepping back, I see you and hope you get the rest and peace you need.

  3. I made your Swedish almond cake (bought the pan) and it was a hit!! Just like your pie crust recipe. Thank you for sharing.
Wishing you a very Merry Christmas!!!

  4. I love that you have a vet that comes to your house. I think if I had that option available, I might have a cat, too. Merry Christmas to you and your family!
