First of all, here's the headshot. I don't love it, but I don't hate it…
Three On Thursday

Taking my cue from Kym this week, here are 3 simple things that are making me happy right now
- When I came out of the house Tuesday morning to go to work there was a beautiful cardinal in the tree by my driveway and he was singing his heart out.
- The temperature got above freezing yesterday and the snow is starting to melt. There’s still loads of it out there but it’s diminishing.
- Only 37 days until spring!
I hope you are finding happiness this week, too.

It gets easier to find good things when I actively look for them. It’s warming up here, too!
Only 37 days until spring! I am having a fit of happy feet.
I have noted a lot more birdsong as well! It is such a spirits lifter! (next week the forecast is calling for us to have a very mild week… above freezing temps every day!)
Milder here (though this morning was cooler than yesterday morning). Some melting/settling of the snow, but still a lot here. Happy things: Iris is 14 months old as of today!! And, Iris loves watching birds. She gets giddy and jumps up and down when the birds come to the feeders. Another happy thing: the first of the last pair of family socks was completed this morning! Woo-Hoo!
The sky is brightening when I leave for work in the morning, and I need sunglasses now on the drive home!! Very good things.
On Tuesday, I could hear water dripping in our downspouts! The thaw has begun. Of course, Wednesday and Thursday were well below freezing again, so not hearing any drippage today. Maybe this weekend, though. Soon. It’s coming! XO
I’ve been noticing that the birds have been noisier than usual lately — does that mean spring is coming early? I sure hope so! Also, the best sound this week was from the snow and ice melting when it got into the 40s. Some of it refroze, but gutters and downspouts got a real workout.
It sounds as if your thawing has begun. Our daughter lives not far from you and they are also counting the days to Spring weather. Thirty seven days is a little over a month – not many when I think of it in that way so thank you for that.
