Joining in with Kat and my fellow knitters and readers this week.

I didn’t make a lot of progress on Hannah’s Waffle Pullover and still have a few inches of the body left, plus the sleeves. In other words, I did not Bang Out a Sweater in February. It’s not something I really expected to do so I’m not disappointed but the energy of the classes and the collective feeling of lots of other knitters working on the same project definitely spurred me on.

I finished 2 books in the last week:

The Night We Met by Abby Jimenez and This Book Made Me Think of You by Libby Page. I’ll share my full reviews when I do my monthly reading wrap ups but I will tell you now that I enjoyed them both. Not terribly heavy but entertaining and fast reads which really works for me sometimes.

What are you knitting and reading these days?

  1. Woo hoo! Your Waffle Pullover is looking AWESOME!! There is something very good about being part of a large group knitting something… all at the same time. (and I LOVE Lorilee’s genius at bringing in a bit of a change to the bottom of her sweater and sleeves!) I agree… sometimes you just need something light to read. It is never a bad thing!

  2. Hannah’s Waffle is looking so good Carole! Go you! I’ll be looking forward to your book reviews. This Book Made Me Think of You is on my TBR list.

  3. Hannah’s Waffle Sweater is looking good and it will provide plenty of knitting enjoyment at least into March. It’s still winter and the cold weather will continue for a while so it might feel nice to have a sweater on your lap!

  4. It really is nice to have a good old-fashioned KAL once in a while, especially when everyone’s into it! Hannah’s Waffle is looking great!

  5. You’ve made a lot of progress on that sweater — I honestly think it’s hard to knit a sweater in a month unless you don’t work and don’t have any other responsibilities (and have really strong hands, for that matter).
