Eye Candy Friday

This sweet little bouquet cost $7.99 from the grocery store and this isn’t even all of it because I have another half dozen mini carnations in a little vase in my studio, too. They bring me joy every time I look at them and that’s a great return on my investment.

And now it’s the weekend and time to turn the clocks forward. For me that also means the candles in our windows and the “winter” trees get put away. I will miss them but it’s time. See what I did there?

Have a good one!

  1. How pretty! I don’t like changing the clocks…wish we would pick a time and stick with it!

  2. Grocery store flowers – and especially long-lasting carnations – are such a mood booster! Have a great weekend, Carole.

  3. I am not a fan of changing the clocks either, at least until I remember that I’m retired and can take a nap if I need to. Enjoy your flowers and your weekend!

  4. Yes, it is time to begin putting winter to rest and to welcome spring. I have been doing a little spring cleaning, putting blankets away, etc. I don’t miss winter, ever, and I feel lighter already. Come on spring!

  5. Lovely! I got a small bouquet from my brother and sister-in-law for my birthday that has been bringing me joy all week, and Molly just said yesterday that we should make a point to have some flowers in a vase all the time. I guess I need to grow some flowers I can cut this year!

  6. Beautiful! (even the tucking away of your winter trees to make space for spring!) That might be the best thing about the time change! Hope you are having a fantastic weekend! XO

  7. I do love the sweet little mini carnations I find at Trader Joe’s. I think flowers are worth every penny, especially in the winter.
